IDO – International Decor Outlet Mall’s Grand Opening Early 2016 – Darien, GA

IDO Press ReleaseDarien, GA, September 18, 2015: International Décor Outlet [IDO] — factory-direct-to-consumer home décor and home improvement products — announced they will occupy Darien Mall located midway between Jacksonville FL and Savannah GA, on the I-95 corridor. The Grand Opening is slated for early 2016.

“We are excited to be coming to coastal Georgia with our first IDO outlet mall,” said an IDO investor. “The opportunities this location provides to IDO and the local community are enormous: over two hundred jobs; increased consumer traffic to the mall and local businesses; and a significant increase in sales tax, to name a few.”

“Other benefits this location provides are close proximity to four southeastern states, easy distance to the fastest growing port in the US, and high visibility on Interstate 95,” noted the investor.

“We want to thank the McIntosh Co. Industrial Development Authority, and specifically President Wally Orrel, whose involvement and participation was crucial in making this plan a reality,” said CEO Warren Hickernell. “The McIntosh County officials and all of the local and state government officials have also been extraordinarily helpful. Co. Commission Chairman Kelly Spratt and Co. Manager Brett Cook have been the driving force behind this effort.”

About IDO:

International Décor Outlet will feature high quality home décor, and home improvement products sold directly by manufacturers at discounted prices. Approximately 50-100 manufacturers from around the world are expected to open storefronts at IDO’s Darien Mall location within the first two years, further expansion is planned for the years following.

“While proximity to the interstate will result in a considerable amount of consumer retail, the main consumer base for this location is expected to be wholesale customers such as remodelers, home builders, commercial builders and interior designers,” said Sarah Verus, Business Development Director of IDO.

“This will become a destination wholesale and retail center for the home décor and home improvement industry,” said Verus. “Contractors from all over the southeastern United States, such as North and South Carolina, Alabama and Florida, will be coming here to purchase the highest quality products at astounding discounts. Expect to see a lot of activity, and a lot of new families coming to coastal Georgia,” said Verus.

Prior to the grand opening in 2016, IDO will be hosting a conference that will connect local, in-state, and out-of-state professionals directly with the manufacturers who will be bringing their products to the US. IDO believes that by connecting these groups, we can build a solid foundation and mutual respect that will ensure the successful launch of the first IDO outlet.
